This course is designed for graduate students interested in examining key sources and methods for a theology of pastoral ministry and an assessment of its ethical dimensions. This course explores a vision of ministry that does justice to unique persons and diverse communities in light of the power that pastoral ministers wield, the gifts and risks of the deep bonds of trust forged between ministers and members of a faith community, and how to discern prudent boundaries in the face of finite time and resources despite never-ending needs. Restrictions: Must be enrolled in one of the following Levels: Graduate College of Arts & Sciences Theology
