Franciscan Spirituality

Catalog description

This course will foster a deep understanding of Franciscan spirituality through onsite exploration of the socio-historical milieu of Francis and Clare, readings of their works, readings of hagiographical accounts and secondary studies, and discussion of the theological and spiritual legacy of these two key Christian mystics. Immersion into the culture of Assisi will allow and experiential dimension to inform our appreciation of the Franciscan charism. Restrictions: Must be enrolled in one of the following Levels: Graduate College of Arts & Sciences Theology
