Catalog description
This course explores the power of music and art as vehicles of communion with the sacred, and forces for spiritual and social transformation in history. Students will approach the topic through many lenses: through case studies in rock, classical, and protest music; urban mural art and sacred iconography; texts from scripture, science, and the field of theological aesthetics; and through the lens of our own spiritual journeys. Prerequisites: THEO111 or CORE105 Course Attributes: Humanities Elect/Integrations, Theology Persp / Explorations College of Arts & Sciences Theology
