Catalog description
This is a course for advanced graduate students regarding the applied aspects of assessment and treatment of high acuity individuals in mental healthcare settings including acute hospitalization, residential treatment programs, and other specialized care settings. The course will also focus on common presenting problems in these settings such as personality disorders, substance use disorders, psychotic spectrum disorders, severe eating disorders, and other diagnoses. Students will learn about evidence-based practices and how to as part of a multi-disciplinary treatment teams in these systems. Restrictions: Must be enrolled in one of the following Levels: Graduate College of Health and Human Sciences School of Psychology
