Catalog description

This class will explore issues related to I-O/Work Psychology in the humanitarian/non-profit sector, as well as how to encourage greater prosocial behavior/corporate social responsibility among for-profit companies. In the former, special challenges in the application of psychological principles in the humanitarian/non-profit space will be discussed. In the latter, the growing awareness of the need for all organizations to contribute to the greater social good, and frameworks such as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals that provide \201Cpathways\201D for such contributions, will be considered. A major component of the class will be the completion of an applied project, including project planning, data gathering and analysis, and the preparation of a final technical report for a client organization.
