Catalog description
This is the laboratory to accompany PHYS 122. This course introduces the basic physical principles underlying various forms of renewable energy, which are contrasted with energy from fossil fuels. The present and future use of wind, solar and hydroelectric technology in our society is discussed. Additionally, the course examines the ethical implications and the environmental and societal trade-offs of energy production.
