Catalog description
The second and third clinical practicum courses focus on the clinical application of the companion didactic courses and previous core courses including educating individual/family about the risks and benefits of treatment; mastering the art of selecting non-pharmacological and pharmacological treatment modalities that fit with the individual/family\2019s lifestyle; and guiding patients in the evaluation and appropriate use of complementary and alternative therapies. Building on the previous clinical practicum students will continue to develop greater expertise in the development of the therapeutic use of self and engaging the patient and family in the decision-making processes relevant to the progression of treatment. Prerequisites: NURS780 and NURS783 Co-requisites: NURS784,NURS785 Restrictions: Must be enrolled in one of the following Levels: Graduate College of Nursing Nursing
