This course examines the development of the nurse practitioner role within the context of advanced nursing practice, emphasizing ethical leadership, advocacy, and commitment to equitable, patient-centered care. Students explore the historical evolution, regulatory environment, and core competencies of NP practice while analyzing how social determinants of health, healthcare disparities, and system-level factors influence the NP\2019s responsibilities. Guided by reflective practice and professional values, students cultivate the skills necessary for effective communication, collaboration, and lifelong professional growth.
