Mental Health Nursing (ABSN)

Catalog description

The course focuses on facilitating holistic health outcomes in individuals experiencing alterations in psychiatric mental health. Focus includes exploring evidence-based therapeutics, pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments, and treatment settings utilized to assist individuals in achieving optimum mental health outcomes safely. Nursing competencies, as they relate to transitions in mental health, are examined. Prerequisites: NURS358 and NURS359 and NURS386 and NURS387 and NURS388 and NURS389 Co-requisites: NURS455 Restrictions: Must be enrolled in one of the following Programs: Accelerated BS in Nursing Course Attributes: 100 Percent Online No Set Meet, Accelerated BSN College of Nursing Nursing
