Mental Health Nursing

Catalog description

The course focuses on facilitating holistic health outcomes in individuals experiencing alterations in psychiatric mental health. Focus includes exploring evidence-based therapeutics, pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments, and treatment settings utilized to assist individuals in achieving optimum mental health outcomes safely. Nursing competencies, as they relate to transitions in mental health, are examined. Prerequisites: NURS362 and NURS363 and NURS366 and NURS367 and NURS370 and NURS381 and NURS382 and NURS383 and NURS384 Co-requisites: NURS451 College of Nursing Nursing
