Pharma for Nurs Pract (ABSN)

Catalog description

This course is an introduction to basic pharmacology for nursing practice with emphasis on the essential nursing knowledge and responsibilities related to pharmacotherapeutics. The basic mechanism of action, major indications, significant contraindications/precautions, interactions, adverse effects and therapeutic effects of relevant medications will be explored. Nursing considerations for administering, monitoring, and evaluating pharmacological therapies will be addressed.
