Catalog description

This course provides doctoral students an international learning experience highlighting similarities and distinctions among countries in addressing issues relating to corporate ethics and leadership. The course includes discussions and presentations pertaining to ethics and leadership related material, including: privacy, compliance, governance, fraud, corruption and corporate social responsibility. Students demonstrate their capacity to integrate experiential learning with theoretical knowledge and ethical perspectives covered in the Leadership Core of the doctoral program. The course is a cooperative between the Cintas Institute for Business Ethics and the Leadership Studies Doctoral Program and includes a required international trip to the UK and France, typically scheduled during Spring Break. The first portion of the course coincides with a Master\2019s level course taught in the Williams College of Business by a business professor; the final assessment is facilitated by a professor in Leadership Studies doctoral program. Restrictions: Must be enrolled in one of the following Majors: Leadership Studies College of Health and Human Sciences Leadership Studies & HRD
