Catalog description

The administrative internship is a 400-hour minimum work experience. It provides students with an opportunity to apply their developing knowledge and skills in the health administration field. The internship experience uniquely prepares students by exposing them to other professionals in the field and to the work environment in a way that cannot be duplicated in the classroom. Students gain a better appreciation for the pressures that affect decision making in today’s healthcare environment and are able to identify additional skills they will need to better prepare them for a rewarding career in health. Students must have a 2.0 GPA, cannot be on departmental probation, and have must completed at least 15 hours within their Health Administration major in order to register. Restrictions: Must be enrolled in one of the following Majors: Health Services Health Services Administration Must be enrolled in one of the following Classifications: Senior Junior Course Attributes: Immersive Learning Experience College of Health and Human Sciences Health Services Administration
