Novels, stories, poems and songs of “East German Writers” reflecting the “East German” reality are used to examine the clash of “socialist realism” with communist reality and censorship. This course is taught entirely in German. Pre-requisite: GERM 202 or by placement test. Prerequisites: Undergraduate level GERM202 Minimum grade of D College of Arts & Sciences Classics & Modern Languages
