Catalog description
This course introduces non-STEM majors to emerging and rapidly evolving technologies by focusing on the societal, environmental, and technical problems they are designed to solve. Students explore innovations in energy generation, information processing (such as spintronics, quantum computing, and photonics), and networked systems like the Internet of Things and wearable electronics, and assess how these technologies improve sustainability, efficiency, connectivity, and human well-being.
