Catalog description

Students will explore medieval themes in the fiction of J.R.R. Tolkien. Critical scholarship by Tolien and others will serve as a crucial backdrop for our analysis. This course will include a research assignment. Students are strongly encouraged to complete ENGL 210 Methods Workshop and/or ENGL 205: Lit & the Moral Imagination or equivalent before enrolling.\202F Prerequisites: ENGL101 or ENGL115 College of Arts & Sciences English
