Catalog description

A survey of literature produced by Africans focusing on historical, thematic, and generic connections, while also paying attention to factors which influence African authors as individuals and as part of literary movements. This course will include a research assignment. Students are strongly encouraged to complete ENGL 210 Methods Workshop and/or ENGL 205: Lit & the Moral Imagination or equivalent before enrolling.\202F Prerequisites: ENGL101 or ENGL115 Course Attributes: Africana Studies Minor, GDST Race and Ethnicity Conc, Gender & Diversity Studies, Humanities Elect/Integrations College of Arts & Sciences English
