Latine Literature

Catalog description

This course explores twentieth and twenty-first century Latine Literature with emphasis on themes and issues such as identity formation and negotiation in terms of language, race, gender, sexuality, and class; the colonial subject; diaspora and emigration; and activism through art. This course will include a research assignment. Students are strongly encouraged to complete ENGL 210 Methods Workshop and/or ENGL 205: Lit & the Moral Imagination or equivalent before enrolling.\202F Prerequisites: ENGL101 or ENGL115 Course Attributes: Humanities Elect/Integrations, Peace & Justice Studies Minor College of Arts & Sciences English
