The socio-historical story of English. Origins, variation, change, legitimization, maintenance and spread of a world language. This course will include a research assignment. Students are strongly encouraged to complete ENGL 210 Methods Workshop and/or ENGL 205: Lit & the Moral Imagination or equivalent before enrolling.\202F Prerequisites: ENGL101 or ENGL115 Course Attributes: Humanities Elect/Integrations, Quantitative Reason Flag Full College of Arts & Sciences English
