Spec Ed Field Experience II

Catalog description
This course prepares intervention specialists to design and implement individualized instructional plans for learners with mild, moderate, and intensive disabilities, including cognitive, social-emotional, physical, and health needs. Emphasis is placed on curriculum adaptations, evidence-based instructional strategies, specialized interventions, and integration of related services. Students will apply assessment, planning, and management procedures to promote active learner participation, incorporate assistive technology, and develop strategies for medical self-management and behavioral support across educational settings. Required field experiences in diverse settings - 50 hours. Restrictions: Must be enrolled in one of the following Levels: Graduate College of Health and Human Sciences School of Education
