Catalog description

Students will investigate and observe learning theory models as a foundation for early childhood intervention, understand development of infants and young children (birth through 5th grade), identify specific disabilities and describe implications for development and learning; use instructional practices based on knowledge of the child, family, community, and the curriculum; and support and facilitate family and child interactions as primary context for learning and development. This course requires field experiences in diverse settings \20136 hours. This course will be a blended class offering including interactive field research and classroom meetings. Prerequisites: Undergraduate level EDSP205 Minimum grade of B College of Health and Human Sciences School of Education
