Catalog description

This course examines service delivery systems and strategies for supporting K-12 students with mild, moderate, and intensive disabilities. Topics include integration into educational and community settings, transition planning, assistive technology, health and safety considerations, legal responsibilities, ethical advocacy, and collaboration with families, paraprofessionals, and other professionals. Requires CPR and First Aid certification, and 10 hours of field experience in diverse settings. Prerequisites: ( EDFD101 or EDSP200 or EDEL100) and EDFD110 and EDSP205 College of Health and Human Sciences School of Education
