Catalog description

This course is designed to provide the students with a basic knowledge of mild, moderate, and intensive disabilities. The course focuses on definitions and diversity in characteristics (including perceptual, cognitive, linguistic, academic, and social/emotional qualities) for individuals with mild, moderate, and intensive disabilities as well as the major past and present educational and legal issues relevant to those individuals. Required 6 hours of field experience. Prerequisites: ( EDFD101 or EDSP200 or EDEL100) and EDFD110 and EDSP205 College of Health and Human Sciences School of Education
