Catalog description

This course will provide an opportunity to learn about research design in applied microeconomics. Students will extend the theory they learn in their econometrics course to a wide variety of advanced empirical techniques that economists employ in the pursuit of the holy grail of research\2014the causal effect. Students will gain a basic knowledge of the theory behind these techniques. More importantly, they will learn how to implement them in their own work and to critique their implementation in the work of others. Prerequisites: ECON305 and ECON307 Williams College of Business Economics
