Catalog description
This movement course engages students with the elements of dance including time, space, and energy in order to gain greater understanding of how the body can move. Athletes and movers of all types will engage in physical research of coordination, breath control, alignment and posture, strength, and spinal articulation through dance technique and improvisation as cross training for sports and other modalities. The course is arranged around the developmental movement patterns and will focus on strength and flow while moving in and out of the floor, body awareness, and somatic decision making.
