Catalog description

In this course, you will explore assessment tools and evidence-based interventions for the treatment of medical trauma. This includes identifying which assessments and interventions are appropriate to use in different settings and with different populations, using assessment tools and trauma-responsive communication skills to learn strategies for prevention and intervention on behalf of patients, families, and staff, and exploring evidence-based interventions for medical trauma treatment, including understanding how to work on interprofessional teams to support patient wellbeing. Restrictions: Must be enrolled in one of the following Levels: Graduate College of Health and Human Sciences Counseling
