Catalog description

Cutting and other forms of self-injury are a growing concern for educators and mental health professionals. Research suggests that more and more individuals, particularly adolescent and college-aged females are engaging in this behavior. This workshop will help attendees better understand this \201Ccoping mechanism\201D and learn pragmatic strategies to assist these adolescents and young adults. The workshop is applicable for practicing counselors as well as graduate students in school or clinical mental health counseling. Restrictions: Must be enrolled in one of the following Levels: Graduate College of Health and Human Sciences Counseling
