Explores both institutional and non-institutional corrections in contemporary society. The operations of prisons and jails and their internal procedures, including safety, security, supervision, classification and programming are explored, along with alternatives to incarceration, probation, and parole. All of these are reviewed in relation to contemporary social and political realities, along with their ethical dimension. College of Health and Human Sciences Criminal Justice
