Catalog description

Students work in small teams to develop, execute, and present an original research project of biological significance. Possible topics include, but are not limited to, assays of local microbiota or determination of environmental factors that play a role in plant, protist, or bacterial growth, as well as analysis of bioinformatic data or public health statistics. Prior completion of General Statistics recommended but not required. Student work will culminate in a written paper and oral presentation. Prerequisites: Undergraduate level BIOL160 Minimum grade of C- and Undergraduate level BIOL161 Minimum grade of C- and Undergraduate level BIOL162 Minimum grade of C- and Undergraduate level BIOL163 Minimum grade of C- Restrictions: Must be enrolled in one of the following Classifications: Senior Junior College of Arts & Sciences Biology
