Catalog description

Students will learn that digital and film photography can be complementary, not rivals. In this class, we\2019ll use large-scale digital negatives to go over contact print techniques and create fine art silver gelatin prints. We will also use the following experimental techniques to create unique imagery: Making photograms, or using everyday objects to expose darkroom paper. Creating a cyanotype in the sun. Utilizing Polaroid film to make emulsion lifts onto other surfaces like wood or cardboard. Crafting a pinhole camera for a minimalist exposure.
