Catalog description

This course introduces students to a rotating selection of tools, technologies, and material processes used by contemporary artists and designers. Rather than emphasizing mastery of a single medium, the course focuses on experimentation, material literacy, and creative problem-solving across digital, physical, and hybrid workflows. Students engage in demonstrations, guided exercises, and short projects that explore how tools, materials, and processes shape artistic decision-making. Emphasis is placed on intentional tool selection, iterative making, and translating ideas from concept to artifact through hands-on exploration. Course Attributes: Creative Persp / Explorations College of Arts & Sciences Art
