Catalog description

Offered to students who have completed ARTS 109, beginning handbuilding in the ceramic medium. Students have two choices: they can choose to examine handbuilding on an advanced level, constructing on a larger scale while also exploring content and meaningful subject matter in their work. Or, students can also choose to investigate the potter’s wheel, and learn to throw various forms while exploring both form and function. Involvement in all areas of studio operations is required. Prerequisites: Undergraduate level ARTS109 Minimum grade of C- or Graduate level EDMS999 College of Arts & Sciences Art
