Catalog description

This course builds on the foundations of introductory drawing by emphasizing observational accuracy, compositional control, and the development of more intentional illustrative strategies. Students refine their ability to work from direct observation, reference, and imagination while strengthening their understanding of line, value, proportion, form, space, and narrative image-making. Through sustained studio practice, critique, and process-based assignments, students begin to connect technical skill with personal visual decision-making. Prerequisites: Undergraduate level ARTS102 Minimum grade of C- or Graduate level EDMS999 College of Arts & Sciences Art
