Seminar: Freshman Art Majors

Catalog description

The role of art in human life and society is examined through the investigation of historical and contemporary artists\2019 work, including visits with Xavier University art and graphic design alums. Students are guided in the process of writing formal visual analyses about art with visits to local art museums. Mentoring students’ creative initiative, artistic growth and commitment within the department\2019s tracks of study and for future careers is emphasized.
