Catalog description

This is the first course in a two-semester sequence exploring the global history of theatre and dramatic literature. Through close reading of plays, analysis of theatrical practices, and engagement with critical and philosophical texts, students examine how theatre has responded to and shaped its cultural, political, and aesthetic contexts.
