Catalog description

Application of hierarchical models to many different types of ecological observations for the purpose of estimating and explaining abundance and occupancy of animals in JAGS and R. Statistical exploration of many common survey designs (point counts, distance sampling, repeated observations of marked animals) that imperfectly record spatial and temporal variation in the abundance and distribution of wild populations. Use of simulated and real-world data sets to draw inference when dealing with missing data, changes in survey protocols, and imperfect detection. Cross Listed ECOL 5200
