Catalog description

This course surveys the history and contemporary practice of religion in Latin America before European arrival to the present, including Indigenous religious traditions, Catholicism, and modern transformations of colonial religious cultures. Subjects will range widely through diverse religious traditions that characterize religious communities in Latin American cultures throughout the Americas.
