Catalog description
The course covers vertebrate tissue anatomy and basic function at a microscopic level with an emphasis on the relationship between structure and health, as well as selected examples of disease. Focus on mammals, with brief mentions on differences particular of birds, reptiles and amphibians. Taught at the level of first-year medical or veterinary school and intended for students pursuing careers in human/veterinary medicine or continuing education in disease ecology, biomedical research and related fields.
