Catalog description

Introduction to Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) to facilitate engineering analysis and design, improving efficiency and accuracy in product development. CAE is the second step after developing a Computer Aided Design (CAD) model of the prototype. The course will demonstrate the key steps of CAE - preprocessing, solving, and postprocessing using examples from structural/thermal analysis (based on Finite Element Analysis) and fluid mechanics (based on Computational Fluid Mechanics).
