This sophomore-level course develops computational proficiency for mechanical engineering applications through the integrated use of Microsoft Excel, MATLAB, and AI-assisted engineering tools. Students build models for mechanical, thermal, and materials systems, perform data visualization and regression, and apply basic programming structures to automate analysis. The course introduces AI-assisted computation and design optimization while emphasizing ethical and transparent use of emerging technologies.
