Catalog description

This course introduces students to the engineering design process through design theory and applied projects. The course combines short lectures on core design principles with progressive team-based design activities, safety and standards training, and a final prototype demonstration. The course will give students structured opportunities to move from idea to prototype in a collaborative, hands-on setting. Students will work in teams to understand the requirements, evaluate options, and build physical prototypes using makerspace and shop tools.
