Max Credit: (Max. 3) After briefly surveying state collection laws, considers the impact of federal bankruptcy law on secured and unsecured creditors. The primary focus of the course is on consumer bankruptcy under Chapter 7 (liquidations) and Chapter 13 (reorganizations). Concludes with an introduction to Chapter 11 (business reorganizations).
