Catalog description

This course explores the principles, methods, and applications of geochronology through a combination of lecture-based learning and active discussion. Students will examine absolute and relative dating techniques, and learn to interpret geochronological data. Through reading and discussion of peer reviewed literature, students will develop skills to evaluate evidence, address controversies, and connect age data to geological processes.
