Prepares students for teaching abroad, by helping them to adapt to and understand the host country’s culture, history, geography, political, and economic context. The course provides the practical information necessary for a foreign experience by exploring the principles of culture shock, ethnocentrism, cultural relativism, and the fundamentals of cross-cultural communication.
