Upper Elementary Literacy Education

Catalog description

This course focuses on the pedagogical content knowledge and instructional and assessment practices that will prepare students to implement research-based reading and writing instruction for students in grades 3-6. Key topics include advanced word recognition, reading fluency and comprehension, vocabulary, and writing. This course requires an elementary literacy practicum.
