Catalog description

This course will equip students with the basic knowledge needed to understand art and visual culture which they will then apply to their understanding of the visual reality of their own lives. Students will learn about the formal aspects of art, basic theory, diverse media, and historical and cultural traditions, via reading, writing, discussion, lecture and creative activities.
