Introduction to shielded metal arc welding (SMAW or stick welding). Topics include shielded metal arc welding safety, stick welding theory, and equipment setup and operation of shielded metal arc welding equipment, and flat, horizontal, and vertical welding positions. Includes an in-person laboratory component.
