Catalog description

Experiential course focused on in-depth analysis of Spanish and Latin American films related to food and food culture. Examine the role food, mealtime, and meal etiquette play in relationships and social life in Hispanic culture. Will also examine themes such as regional differences, immigration, contrasts between big-city and rural life through readings, class discussions, debates, research, and hands-on cooking lessons.
