Catalog description
This course is an introduction to the development of ethical policies for healthcare institutions. The course will focus on major laws and U.S. Supreme Court decisions affecting health care and the protection of human research subjects. In addition, the course will describe how ethical considerations relate to costs, managed care, resource allocation, and institutional policies. The course concludes with a student-specific capstone project. Prerequisite(s): Graduate level PPH 7810 Minimum Grade of C
