Catalog description

This course provides an overview to the institutional, economic, epidemiological, ideological, social, and political forces that shape global health systems. A health system includes all organizations, people and actions that promote, restore or maintain health. A health system incorporates efforts to influence determinants of health as well as more direct health improving activities. Students will investigate best-practices approaches to health systems both at national and global levels. Prerequisite(s): Graduate level PPH 7710 Minimum Grade of C
